The sheep farm

This weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to go with our friends, the Popps, to a sheep farm.  We got to tour their stalls, and see little lambs nuzzling against their mothers, gently baahing.  It was so sweet.  Ella even got to hold a lamb.  You can hardly see her eyes for her hat, but they were a-sparklin'!

The next stop was a converted garage where a lady was spinning wool into yarn.  It was amazing to see, and all around were her yarns in all colors and thicknesses, as well as scarves, hats, purses, you name it, all made by one talented lady.

The last stop of the day was the farm house, where refreshments were provided.  What was on the menu?  Why, LAMB, of course!  How, exactly, does one explain to a 3 year old that what she is eating now so recently looked like the snuggly little creature above?

We took the price sheet.  It tasted really good.
