A belted pillow

I had some leftover fabric from making this bench,

and I wanted to make a pillow out of it, but there was just about an inch too little for the pillow form I already had.

 I have wanted to try "belting" a pillow for awhile, and decided this was a good opportunity.  I bought twelve inches of teal fabric for ninety-nine cents,

pleated and bunched it, and sewed it into the pillow seams, hiding the gap in the fabric underneath.  I love it!



I'm so fancy.  I put cummerbunds on my pillows!
