Ain't she a beaut?

I'm done. DONE!!!!!!! It took about four days longer than I expected, but I'm thrilled with the results!   I bought this dresser on Craigslist a few months ago for $20.  This what it looked like at this time last week.

Blandy from Blahsville.  This is what it looked like Monday afternoon.

This is what it looked like from Tuesday to Thursday, waiting for the stain to dry while it was humidly storming outside.  Not my most brilliant move.

And now, here she is!

I'm in love.

Look how beautiful the grain of the wood looks!  I'm so glad I stained it.  And I was able to reuse the knobs, a definite bonus.

I painted the bottom blue, and then brushed on some stain and immediately wiped it off to get a glazed, antiqued look {I tested it on the back of the dresser first to make sure it would work}.

Here it is in the light of day, because I know you wanted to see it in the light of day.

Believe it or not, the dresser that originally lived in the space is the same color as the one above before I stained/glazed it.   I painted it last summer to brighten up the room {holy birthday cake, Batman!  That is bright!}.

Here is my beauty one last time.  Feel free to adore it.

I sure do.
