So, this week I was going to do a lot. I had a list. A long list that included curtains and lots of other decorative elements for Ella and Jack's room.
But then, life got in the way, as it so often does.
This little boy got sick and just wanted to snuggle. Snuggling is not easy with a sewing machine, iron, or spray paint, and I had to make a choice. So what did I do? I told him to get over it, stuck him in his bed and got on with my projects, of course! I mean, you gotta do whatcha gotta do, right? The show must go on and all that jazz?
Raise your hands if you believe that mularkey. How could you leave that cuteness alone when snuggles are the order of the day? I mean, snuggles make my life go around.
And so, we have snuggled. We have snuggled through the Fox and the Hound, twice. We have snuggled while reading books. We have snuggled on the couch. We have snuggled in the rocking chair. We have snuggled on a blanket outside.
We. Have. Snuggled.
As I look back, I think that I have accomplished a lot this week. Snuggling is an artform worth cultivating, don't you think?
Lily's comment: "Oooohhhh, Jack is getting to be a big boy!" :o)
ReplyDeleteThen she said, "Jack and Ella could be great parents, too!"
My kids all remember snuggle time and oh how I miss it! I love Lydia's comment - my laugh for the day:)
