Christmas in the Air

Last night, we went on an adventure.  I told the kids we needed to bundle up, so here's what they came up with.

Sunglasses, dangly clip-on earrings, and gardening gloves.  Very helpful cold weather evening accessories.

Then we headed out to the EAA Museum, a huge space full of aircraft of all kinds.

Each year they do a free holiday party as a thankyou to the community, and the community sure showed up!  It was incredibly crowded.  There were four stages with various types of groups performing, and area restaurants had booths where they gave away samples of chocolates of all kinds!  It was delicious, but too crowded to take pictures.  As a climax, Santa arrived in a helicopter outside a lobby filled with, you guessed it, milk and cookies!

We took advantage of the displays and went inside planes to look around.

We checked out the blow-up Christmas displays.

 What?  I'm not mischievious!

There was so much to do!

Oh, what should I do next?

Despite the crowds, it was a lovely time as a family.

The kids got to ride in a cockpit.

Stealth Bomber Ella!

We had a lovely time.
