Happy 4th!

Happy Independence Day!  I hope you all safely enjoy your day with lots of fun, watermelon, and fireworks.

The city fireworks were last night at a park nearby, so we thought, "We'll be able to see them from our house!" and invited two families to come enjoy them with us. 

We set up chairs and blankets, and enjoyed lemonade, watermelon, and homemade ice cream along with other treats.  The kids, all eleven of them {or rather, the eight who could walk}, ran around and played as we waited for the show to begin.  It was a lovely setting.

We now know something we never knew before.

Jack the Conqueror

Jack has always had great aspirations of being a climber.  His little legs are the only thing keeping him from his goal.  At Poppy and G.G.'s house, however, he discovered.......the Rocker.  Will our Wonderkid achieve his lofty aim?  Let's take a look.

 Mmm...if I rock this chair, I might just be able to put my foot up there.

Oh, yeah.  Just a little more...

 Oh, yeah.  I am an impressive little stinker.  My mom said so.
